North Dakota is the only state in the nation that does not require voter registration to participate in elections.
However, recent legislation states the voter must show an identification card indicating that they are North Dakota
residents in the district in which they vote.
60th Legislative Assembly
The 59th Legislative Assembly will consist of a Senate with 47 senators and a House of Representatives
with 94 representatives. The 60th Legislative Assembly will organize December 2006, and meet in regular
session beginning January 2007.
